🎇 Children’s Ministry at Erlanger Methodist Church
👩🕯️ Acolytes
Being an acolyte isn’t just a task—it’s an honor! Kids in 3rd grade and up get to play an important role in leading our worship service. Lighting the candles, carrying the flame, and serving alongside others helps them grow in faith while making worship meaningful for the whole congregation. It’s an amazing way for children to learn responsibility and discover the joy of serving God in His house.
💰 Joyful Noise Offering
This is giving with a joyful twist! Children collect loose change from the congregation using metal buckets—filling the sanctuary with the joyful sound of clinking coins as they go up and down the aisles. While they’re having fun, they’re also learning the heart of stewardship. As Jesus taught: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). Even better, the kids get to decide where the offering is donated, making the lesson of generosity real and personal.
👶 Nursery
Our nursery is more than babysitting—it’s a ministry of love. With caring staff and volunteers, infants and toddlers are welcomed into a safe, nurturing space where they begin their journey surrounded by God’s love. The nursery is open during Children’s Church, and we’re happy to work with families who have special needs to ensure every child feels safe and cared for.

After a special children’s message in the sanctuary, kids head off to their very own Children’s Church. Here, they experience God’s love through energetic music, fun videos, hands-on activities, and age-appropriate lessons that bring faith to life in a way they’ll never forget.

Throughout the year, our children have opportunities to take part in worship through music, drama, and special performances. These moments not only bless our congregation, but also allow kids to use their gifts to glorify God and celebrate their faith in creative ways.

Making Church fun and Jesus Real
The Children's Ministry has lots of fun events and activities each year, like VBS, a special Kid Takeover service (the kids lead everything!), special drama productions at Easter and Christmas, movie and game nights, and much more! Always watch the events section for the latest activities.
